Dandelion’s fragility reminds me of the human brain.  The brain has so much information and memories real and imagined all webbed intricately; wherein a slight touch or even a gentle breeze could trigger a devastating signal hindering a person from living life to its fullest potential; allowing self-imposed diseases like depression, fear, misery, guilt, and sometimes ending it all through death.

After I posted that thing the other night about Darren having to have a genius IQ, I thought to myself, “Oh, like Chris doesn’t.” But, I thought if I posted that right after I’d posted the thing about Darren, people would think I was just saying it because I was fangirling.

But, look at the two of them. Managing all these projects at once and and “gittin’er done!” I mean, lots of us think of things we’d like to do or even start to do them, but a large percentage of us never finish if we ever start them at all. These two? Not only do they work on the projects they wanted, but they work on all of them at once! Holy crap!

According to my ex, the genius mind (he was diagnosed as ADHD, but I’ll bet all my prized possessions he has Asperger syndrome, too) has a bunch of trains of thought bouncing around, and it takes a great deal of self-control and effort to grab onto one, concentrate on it, and ignore the others. My best friend’s husband has ADD, and he can do lots of different things at once. My friend who builds me computers for free has a genius IQ (and he and I have pretty much decided he has Asperger syndrome), and he can do lots of different things at once (including writing 10 pages during our writers’ meetings while my best friend and I are gabbing away and accomplishing nothing and he’s participating in the conversation at times. That’s SO maddening that he can do that; I can’t even read a book if a song with lyrics is playing!

Anyway, so I know quite a few geniuses who can physically and mentally do/think about lots of different things at once. At times, they say, it’s a curse because in my ex’s and my friend’s (soon-to-be ex’s) cases, it costs them sleep. My ex finally learned that if he just relaxed and let the thoughts flow through his mind without picking one out that was interesting to him, he could go to sleep. It took a long, long time to figure that out, though, and an even longer time for him to discipline himself enough to put the idea into action. I understand because when I concentrate on relaxing, I find the concentration defeats the purpose.

In my friend’s soon-to-be ex’s case, he just can’t seem to stop doing stuff on the computer. (None of us knows anything about that, does he/she?) It’s not even always entertainment. Sometimes he’s just reading about the latest updates in technology and/or computers, reading the news (often that), etc.

THE REST (probably) HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH DARREN OR CHRIS
